How to tailor your profile and manage your LinkedIn presence for maximum career benefit as a researcher

Is your LinkedIn profile working as hard as you are? Whether you love it or tolerate it, online networking is a highly effective way to increase the visibility of your research and open up new career opportunities.  LinkedIn is the world's largest professional network, so taking a small amount of time to refresh your profile and strategy is well worth the effort—whether you plan to stay in academia or move into a new sector. 

This online workshop will help you to:

• Optimize your profile for current target audiences
• Identify key strategies to find and connect with relevant professionals.
• Implement actionable steps to increase the visibility and reach of your research.
• Utilize LinkedIn features to effectively support a targeted job search.

The session will last one hour, followed by 30 minutes discussion /  Q & A.  It will not be recorded to facilitate peer sharing.  

This session is open to all Brookes research students and fixed-term research staff.
